User problem
1) Finding new games to play on Roblox was hard. Game previews were not representative and users had to rely on word of mouth.
2) Game developers have very little control and insight into how they can get their games discovered.
The Solution
Roblox players spend over 150 million hours daily on the platform, generating numerous stories and memorable moments. If we enable users to automatically capture and share these moments within the platform, we can reimagine how discovery happens on Roblox.

Roblox currently has over 200 million MAU and over 60 million DAU. Despite the large user base, finding new games to play was tedious and static–users had to rely on trial and error or word of mouth. Similarly, game developers had very little control over how to promote their games on platform.

THE RECOMMENDATION
Integrate short form video into discovery surfaces
Capitalize on the lightweight format of short-form video, while utilizing Roblox’s unique 3D nature to push users towards discovering new games. Users were turning towards external platforms like YouTube to view moments that are capture in-game, but keeping the social media flywheel within the platform would increase user engagement and playtime.
